Who We Are

Truth Excavation is founded and solely owned by Kimo Clark, who is a 4th generation Maui Native and 1st generation Heavy Equipment operator.

He started Truth Excavation in 2011 when he got his contractor license for excavation, grading, and trenching, drainage systems, and septic. A lot has changed since then.

With no money, no credit, and no experience running a business, Kimo made up for it with an extremely hard work ethic, willingness to do any job in any place, and the ability to think outside of the box.

“One of our core values is, Always Can!” Kimo proudly claims.

Truth Excavation’s distinctive colors started out with green and black work shirts. It quickly spread to the trucks and then onto the equipment.

Our brand stands for originality. We want to stick out from all the other companies not just by appearance but by workmanship. We do exceptional work, with style.

Born and raised in Lahaina, Kimo and Truth Excavation have been a big part of what has happened after the August 8th wildfires being the only excavation company based in Lahaina. “We are the only company that has been a part of every single phase after the fire including actually fighting the fire.”

We are 1000% committed to Lahaina and its rebuild back to greatness for as long as it takes.

Our mission statement is simply, “to improve the quality of life for employees, family, and community”. We will continue to do this for generations to come.
